The English translation is “yogic sleep”. The instructor leads the student into a state of deep relaxation. There are ten stages that are designed to slow the brain waves in order to decrease stress and lessen anxiety. The session includes visualization, either creative or focused on the body. The science community has accumulated research on the benefits of a regular Yoga Nidra practice, including resetting the parasympathetic nervous system, decreasing blood pressure and cortisol levels, inducing more restful sleep, and allowing the opportunity for the body to heal on the physical and emotional levels.

 

Yoga Nidra Services

I had experienced the life-changing effects of Yoga Nidra for over three years before earning a certification to offer this science to clients. It has deepened my own practice, and I’ve witnessed the positive results with others. Though Yoga Nidra compliments a physical practice, it isn’t necessary to do both. In a Yoga Nidra session, there is a series of gentle asana poses to prepare the body for lying still.

$30.00/Person for groups of 2 or more

An individual session can be centered around a specific intention. For a group, there are more general intentions that are used. One session of Yoga Nidra is equal to about 3 hours of sleep. There is no set amount of sessions to be done to feel the benefits of Yoga Nidra.
